ABOUT ME:

My name is Uriel Rios, but most people call me Uri. I was born and raised in Houston, TX and have been passionate about video and photography for over 10 years. It all started when as a kid my parents bought me a handheld camera for Christmas, and ever since then I've been hooked.

I studied and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Media Production in 2014. Since then I've worked for many well known clients and companies such as Ryan's World, Telemundo Houston, and Live Nation Entertainment creating promotional videos, social media highlight reels and event photography.

By working with these companies I've learned lots of skills and experience along the way. That's why I've decided to pursue my dream of becoming an entrepreneur and launching my own professional media production company. My goal is to help families and individuals bring their visions to life by capturing moments and telling their stories.

My interests include playing and recording songs on guitar, cooking new recipes at home, and watching movies on opening weekend.

I’ve had the honor and pleasure of working for 3 successful YouTube channels, “Ryan’s World” with 39M+ subscribers, “Gus the Gummy Gator” with 1.5M+ subscribers and “The Studio Space: with 3.26M+ subscribers. My videos regularly broke the 1M view mark, with my highest performing video at 22M views, and other videos regularly gaining between 100K-500K views.

During my 7 years working at this company I learned numerous skills in video editing, motion graphics and photography that I carry with me to this day, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such a tremendous team of creative and talented people.

This is a group photo of myself with members of the Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals (HAHMP) at a recent visit to television station KHOU in Houston, TX.

HAHMP is a non-profit organization mostly comprised of Hispanic media professionals who organize monthly events to help current students with guidance, mentorships and help in finding jobs in the news industry upon graduating.

As a member and volunteer my duties including photographing events and editing those pictures so they could be uploaded to social media. By creating event recaps of past events we were able to promote the organization and encourage new members to join.
